and i am back

as usual trying to avoid working 😀
so where did I leave you last?
hmm my favorite things…
not neccesarily raindrops on roses..but rain and raindrops on everything! I love it when it rains…the feel, the smell of the rain, the way it sounds, and when it brings up my favorite flowers..grass lilies btw I love it even more!and how the day looks after t has rained..bright and so clear that you want to keep your eyes shut against the brightness… everything comes to life…and the foode taht I chai at the tapri with college friends…the endless bhutte and ofcourse moong ke bhajiye!
Then come whiskers on kittens..well that goes for all animals…cats, dogs, specially dogs. Big cats fascinate me more, tigers, panthers….they have it all…grace, beauty, brains and utter and complete confidence. The regular cats scare me though because they make me feel so insignificant!
i dunno who said it but ” Dogs look up at you, cats look down upon you and pigs treat you like equals!!”
umm i wouldnt mind emulating empress of blndings :Pig on a mission..the title is copyrighted btw by me 😀
bright copper kettles..the last one for kitchens..watching my mom cook and having long conversations about anythng and everything…
Reading aloud my first book to the sounds of cooking and her voice correcting my pronounciations…we have always spent so much time together
I remember living ina house where there was no tap water, because of some fault, the taps didnt work so I remember sitting next to her on the haudi, dangling legs in the water, watching marching ants, picking at idle grass blades and again long converations, nothing has really come between our conversation, whether we be together or me in US and she in India..
warm woolen mittens: mm my visit to Manali withthe entre school gang….losing my wallet on the snow, bieng broke for the rest of the trip and eating those egg bread thingies with my last money and most probaby Zubin;s too..but boy that taste has stayed with me..warma and crisp, the cold snow beneath and no more money!!! when we three got off at the station in Inodre, we were so tired and grimy and hungryyy.our parents could barely recognize us.
No longer in touch with these friends, a few pictures and lots of memories remain. Maybe it is good to just remember the memories, the people have changed beyong recognition
